CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Ohio State took the lead midway through the first quarter and never trailed as the No. 18/21 Buckeyes dominated Illinois in an 86-67 win Monday night.
Jacy Sheldon led the way for Ohio State (19-4, 11-3 Big Ten) with 22 points, Rikki Harris scored a career-high 17 points, with five three-pointers, Rebeka Mikulášiková finished with 14 points and Taylor Mikesell with 13 points.
The Buckeyes made four of their last five shots of the second quarter and scored the first 21 points of the third, outscoring the Illini (6-15, 1-93) 3-13 in the quarter while shooting 72 percent from the floor and 83 percent from behind the arc.
The Buckeyes host Wisconsin on Sunday (2:00 p.m./BTN+) in their final home game of the season.
