IOWA CITY, Iowa – Ohio State earned its second win of the season over a ranked team when the Buckeyes beat No. 21/24 Iowa 92-88 in a back-and-forth game on the road Monday night.

Taylor Mikesell led the scoring for No. 23/19 Ohio State (14-5, 8-2 Big Ten) with 24 points and Jacy Sheldon finished with 20 points.

The Hawkeyes (16-4, 8-3) took a 48-44 lead into the locker room at halftime and widened their lead to 55-46 with eight minutes remaining in the third quarter, but the Buckeyes battled back and closed the quarter with a 7-2 run that cut the deficit to 68-66 heading into the fourth quarter

A steal by Rikki Harris and a fastbreak layup from Sheldon gave Ohio State the 86-85 lead with 1:33 left and a pair of Mikesell free throws gave the Buckeyes a 90-87 lead with :18 to play. Sheldon sealed the win with two free throws with :05 left.

Rebeka Mikulášiková scored 17 points, including a career-high five 3-pointers and Braxtin Miller added 10 points for OSU.

Caitlin Clark registered her second-career 40-plus point game, tallying 43 for the Hawkeyes.
