COLUMBUS – Andrew Stevenson’s RBI single in the 10th inning gave the St. Paul Saints a 6-5 win in Tuesfay’s opening game of a six-game series at Huntington Park.
The Clippers tied the score in the back-and-forth game in the seventh on RBI base hits by Oscar Gonzalez and George Valera.
Stevenson hit liner to center field off Brett Daniels (0-3) to score automatic runner Mark Contreras from third base.
Oliver Ortega retired the side in the bottom of the inning to record his first save of the season. Patrick Murphy (3-0) got credit for the win.
