Virus arrived in Ohio in January

The first confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in March but Dr. Amy Acton says testing shows there were five cases back in January.

A risk worth taking?

Governor Mike DeWine is acknowledging that there are risks to reopening Ohio’s economy following closures due to the coronavirus pandemic. but says “it’s really a risk no matter what we do.”

DeWine stands by Acton

Governor Mike DeWine made it plain that he will veto a bill in the Statehouse restricting the authority of the state health department and director Dr. Amy Acton to issue directives closing schools and businesses and restricting the movement of Ohio residents.
