Loss hurts Tribe wild card chances

CLEVELAND (AP) — Emergency starter Tommy Milone replaced an ill Phil Hughes and pitched the Minnesota Twins past the Indians 4-2 on Monday night in a game crucial to the wild-card chances of both clubs.

Cleveland is five games behind the Astros in the race for the second AL wild card with seven games to play in the regular season.

Minnesota (81-75) trails Houston by 1 1/2 games and is a half-game game behind the Los Angeles Angels.
