A portion of a highway near downtown Columbus was shut down overnight after police say a woman was shot in the face while riding in a vehicle and the suspect was hit by a vehicle trying to run away.

Nitrate warning lifted

Go ahead and drink the tap water. Columbus has canceled an advisory it issued Thursday when the drinking water at the Dublin Road Water Plant tested unacceptably high for nitrate levels.

12 die on roads over holiday weekend

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is reporting that 12 people lost died on Ohio roadways during the Fourth of July holiday weekend, two more than last year.
